Season 1 is a fantasy masterpiece, dutifully adhering to the complex world Gaiman created decades ago, while still offering an exciting screen adaptation both newcomers and longtime fans can enjoy. To rebuild and regain his power, he embarks on a quest to recover his magical tools, find rogue dreams and nightmares, and even has to stop supernatural happenings from erasing the universe itself. After a century, he escapes, only to find his kingdom destroyed. Starring Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Boyd Holbrook and more, The Sandman follows Morpheus/Dream, who is captured one day by an occultist. The adaptation took Neil Gaiman’s epic DC comic book universe and perfectly captured the story’s gothic, dreamy aesthetic.
